I guess thats one of the downsides (in universe) of having a persons will tied directly to their power. Sure its great for the good guys who want to use their will help people, but it goes both ways. It means the most deluded, evil, self assured person will be the strongest around and be continually rewarded for it, especially if you're surrounded by a bunch of circle jerking yes-men. Somebody just needs to rise above that, though thats proven impossible for centuries, though seemingly not for much longer. Besides, its not like everybody was really "Giving it their all" when attacking imu, in terms of their will to do so anyways. Kaido was just fucking around and big mom seemingly hit them by accident versus imu's "I need to genocide everybody on this island" and feeling more justified than ever. Still obviously insane to tank though. Paired with that, im sure rocks' will to fight was at (dont say it) maybe the bottom of where it can possibly be, possession aside. I just love this arc, man. It's so good and it just keeps getting better and better. I wonder if we'll see more of the aftermath or we'll go straight to elbaf after this. I don't think it was just dragon who changed the due to this event. I think roger was motivated by it as well. He probably wanted to find more about the monster which eventually led him to laugh tale. Also, I love that marco's father (most likely) was called polo. This arc is definitely something I will be waiting for in the anime, although it's still far away.
