The Coup: Davy Jones was subsequently overthrown by a united front of Joyboy and Imu.
The Exile: After his defeat, Davy was forced into exile and became a pirate to survive, aligning with the legend of him being "cursed by the devil to wander the seas." This chain of events would also support the idea that Joyboy was the first-ever pirate, having taken to the seas to hunt and depose the exiled 'king.'
