Given the recent emphasis on terms like "world" (e.g., Rocks calling Imu "the world," the "First, Second, and Third Worlds" references), the AK may not have been a single nation but a previous World Government.
The Second World Government: The Ancient Kingdom could have been named the Second World Government, established after the collapse of a prior, "First World."
An Alliance, Not a Culture: This explains why we see traces of the AK among its allies but no singular central culture—it was an alliance of kingdoms, not a monolithic state.
