One Piece Chapter 1164 - Page 2
And speaking of emotional beats man, I was really hoping Dragon, once he realized he’d be labeled a criminal and forced to go into hiding, would give baby Shanks to Garp. That would've been such a full-circle connection. But then I thought about it Garp’s too visible. As a top Marine under the eyes of the World Government and Garling, there’s no way he could’ve raised Shanks in secret.

So maybe Garp did the only thing he could: give Shanks to someone he actually trusted Roger. He knows Roger’s a good man deep down, even if he’s a pirate, someone who’d raise the kid right. And then later, when Roger asks Garp to take care of Ace, it completes the loop. The parallels are insane.
Now, back to Imu it’s still nuts how they got back up after taking hits from multiple top-tier fighters, only to completely break down from Joyboy’s Haki. That’s such a specific and deliberate contrast. It’s like Joyboy’s energy triggers something primal in Imu, maybe tied to an ancient memory or trauma.
But here’s where it gets really wild that “rat king” quote. What if it’s literal? What if Imu is the 20 kings fused into one body a single consciousness made up of all their minds? That would explain the regeneration: maybe every time Imu’s body takes fatal damage, they survive by sacrificing a lower-ranking Celestial Dragon. Basically, the nobles exist as backup lives. That’s why there are so many “worthless” ones just hanging around they’re literally battery packs.
Now, Imu’s obsession with the Nefertari family also starts to make more sense. They were the one royal family that refused to join the unification. That betrayal would be personal. Vivi, then, becomes the last living remnant of that rebellion the one person who carries the bloodline Imu couldn’t control.
And here’s my biggest theory: “Mu’s World” might actually be Imu’s endgame a global-scale Domi Reversi. Think about the Four Bridges (like Tequila Wolf, etc.). What if they’re not just random slave projects, but anchors points that form a giant magic circle around the planet? If Imu completes it, they could theoretically “flip” the entire world, rewriting everyone’s will to match their own.
Since everyone was born on Planet Bluestar, that would technically count as their “home,” meaning they’d all be affected by the reversal. The only ones immune might be beings who weren’t born on Bluestar maybe those with god-tier Devil Fruits from space, or beings tied to older, off-world deities.
And if that’s true… then maybe Imu’s done this before. Maybe the “devil” whose power they wield has already flipped other planets in the One Piece solar system entire civilizations rewritten and forgotten. Bluestar could just be the latest iteration.
Crazy stuff, but the more I think about it, the more it lines up with Oda’s cosmic hints lately.
